What is CCTV?

CCTV stands for Closed Circuit TeleVision. Television is the easy part, but what do we mean by "Closed Circuit?"

Simply that the video signals being transmitted from the cameras to the monitor or recording equipment are in a closed ciruit or loop (rather than being broadcast) meaning that images can only be viewed by a device connected directly to the system.

What are the Benefits?

Increased Deterrent
Safer Working Enviroment
Reducing Risk of Theft
24/7 Surveillance
Remote Monitoring
Reduced Fear of Crime
Staff Protection

Why us CNL for your CCTV?

There are many products on the market today, with a broad split between traditional (analogue) video systems and IP (networked) systems. At CNL we regularly supply, install and maintain systems that fall into each of these categories, and even to install so-called hybrid systems that allow both types of camera to connect, offering a truly flexible system.

Due to our jealously guarded vendor independance, we would never suggest one manufacturers product over another simply to meet a profit margin. Rather, we examine the products on offer from several manufacturers worldwide and make informed decisions about which systems are right for our customers. In some cases we have been known to obtain demonstration units from a manufacturer in order to test certiain new features they are offering.

Our engineers are highly trained in all aspects of CCTV installation, and are all competent to install Traditional and IP based systems.
